Proctor Information
Some MU In The Evening courses are online and require proctored exams. When exams are required, students need to identify a qualified proctor and test site. MU reserves the right to approve or reject a proposed examination proctor. Relatives, friends and co-workers may not proctor an examination regardless of their academic qualifications. Students are responsible for any fees for which a proctor may charge.
The ideal proctor is a professional person located outside the student's place of employment. Examples of persons who will be approved to serve as proctors include a counseling or testing office staff member at a university or high school, county extension office, military education office, corporate personnel or training office, or approved public counseling and testing center; a faculty member at an accredited university or college; a superintendent or principal at a fully accredited school district; a high school guidance counselor; a librarian; or a clergyman. If you cannot schedule examinations with one of the above, you may request an exception. Requests for exceptions should be addressed to MU In The Evening. Proctor information specific to the course and proctor application materials will be made available at the start of the course.
Exams should be administered in an environment conducive to test taking (quiet and off-limits to others). An office in the student's place of employment is not considered an appropriate setting, nor is a home office. Most proctors can arrange a site for administering the exam. Depending on the course, the exam may be a paper copy sent in the mail or electronic format taken online. Online exams require a computer with Internet access.

Because this course requires several online exams, ALL University credit students will need to arrange a proctor for their exams. Students will take FOUR exams online, so proctors will need to have computer access.
